How to reset your password

How to Reset your password

You can reset your password with your phone/sms or recovery email at password.kettering.edu. Please make sure to follow instructions for the correct method.






Email Recovery Option


1. Please input password.kettering.edu in your browser


2. Please click the email option at the top of the page



3. Please type in your username into the login box and hit the send button.






4. You should recieve an confirmation page when the email is successfully sent. 


5. Log into the email you have set as your recovery email and click on the email from helpdesk@kettering.edu titled "Reset your password".



Please note the password requirements below :
*Passwords are valid one year from the day of reset*

7. After you have set and confirmed your password was reset please attempt to sign back into MyKettering at my.kettering.edu or Gmail. 








Text/SMS Recovery Option

1. Please input password.kettering.edu in your browser.


2. Please click the "Forgot Password" option at the top of the page.






3. Please type in your username into the login box and hit the "Get user" button.





4. Please confirm the phone number and info on the screen, if the info is correct (Full name, username, and SMS number)  please hit the "Send" button. 





5.  Once you hit "Send" you will be directed to a new page.  After confirming you should then recieve a text message to the phone you confirmed above. Please enter the password reset token you should have recieved into the SMS token box and hit "Send". 


Please note the password requirements below

7. After you have set and confirmed your password was reset please attempt to sign back into MyKettering at my.kettering.edu or Gmail.
