Removing KUW from devices

Removing KUW from devices

In order to prevent your phone or device from automatically trying to log in with an old password, resulting in your account being locked, removing or 'forgetting' the KUW Kettering wifi from your device will allow you to more easily reset your password.

If your device *is* currently connected to KUW when you intend to reset a password, please prevent automatic logins with the following instructions:

On Android:
From your top menu, click on 'Internet'
On KUW, click on the right-hand settings gear icon
Tap 'Forget'

On iOS: Go to the settings icon
Hit the 'wifi' option in the settings menu
Find 'KUW' and click the information panel or "i" next to the KUW wifi network
Click 'Forget This Network' at the top of the panel that appears

On Windows:
Search for 'Wi-Fi' in the Windows tray at the bottom of your screen
Click on 'Wi-Fi Settings'
Click on 'KUW settings'
Uncheck 'Connect automatically when in range'

On Mac OS:
Go to "System Settings"
Click on "Wi-Fi"
Under "Known Networks"  beside the KUW network click the circle with elipsis and choose "Forget This Network..."
