How Employer Partners Approve a Student's Thesis Topic Proposal in Kettering Connect

Approving/Denying a Thesis Topic Proposal

Step 1:  When a student submits a Thesis Topic Proposal (TTP) a link will be sent out to the Employer Primary Contact.

Step 2:  Forward this email to the students direct supervisor. This supervisor is also known as the Employer Thesis Advisor. The student enters this information in the proposal if needed.

Step 3:  Click on the link in the email and it will open the student’s Thesis Topic Proposal (TTP).

Step 4:  At the bottom of the Thesis Topic Proposal (TTP) there is a drop down with two-options.
  1. Approve - If approving, select Approve and enter your initials and click save.
  2. Deny - If you are denying the proposal click Rejected enter in the Rejection Reason then your initials and click save.
Note: If the proposal is denied a notice will be sent to an Advisor who will work with the student. The student will then have to resubmit their Proposal.

Step 5:  Once you have approved or rejected the proposal you will receive an email with a confirmation to keep in your records.
